Privacy Policy

Aereum provides aerial and property photography for builders and property teams, based in Ballarat and operating across Victoria. In this policy, “Aereum”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Aereum business. You can reach us any time at hello@aereum.com.au.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We collect the information you give us and a small amount that's collected automatically.

Information you provide

• Contact details — your name, business or company name, email address, and phone number if you choose to give it.
• Booking details — the sites you want captured, their addresses, access or timing notes, your chosen plan and preferred start week.
• Enquiries and messages — anything you send us through the contact form or the live chat widget.

Account information

• When you access the client portal we create an account for you.
• If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name and email address from that provider to identify your account. We never see your Google or Microsoft password.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data via Google Analytics — pages visited, referring links, approximate location, and browser or device type — collected through cookies and similar technologies.

• Respond to your enquiries and prepare quotes.
• Schedule, capture and deliver your photography.
• Set up and run your client portal, and issue invoices.
• Keep you updated about your projects and captures.
• Improve our website and services.
• Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

We only use your information for the purposes it was collected for, or for a directly related purpose you'd reasonably expect. We do not sell your personal information.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. This relies on cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies won't stop you booking or using the portal.

We use trusted providers to run our business. They only handle your information to provide their service to us:

• Hosting — Netlify (website delivery).
• Database and authentication — Supabase, with data stored in Australia.
• Email delivery — Resend, for booking confirmations and notifications.
• Analytics — Google Analytics.
• Sign-in — Google and Microsoft, if you choose to use them to log in.

Some of these providers may store or process data overseas. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with this policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information — data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to those who need it, and portal access is controlled by row-level security so you only see your own organisation's data. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

We keep your information while we're providing services to you and for as long afterwards as we need it for legitimate business, legal or tax reasons. When it's no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.

Our services are for businesses and property professionals. We don't direct our website at children or knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version always lives on this page.
