Custom software that works with Square
Plenty of Australian cafés, shops and service businesses take payments on Square. The data is there, but it usually stays there. A connection puts it to work.
Discuss your projectJobs a Square connection can take off your plate
- A self-service kiosk or ordering screen that takes payment through your Square account
- Square customers and purchases feeding a loyalty or follow-up program
- Daily takings combined with rosters or stock in one dashboard
- Square appointments syncing with your own booking or job system
These are examples of what's possible. Your project starts with how your business works, not this list.
How it connects
Square's APIs cover payments, orders, customers, catalogue and bookings, with webhooks for new payments and changes. You approve the connection from your Square account, and money still settles to you as normal.
Good to know
- Card payments stay inside Square's own checkout and hardware. Card details never touch the custom software.
- Some APIs, like bookings, depend on which Square products you use. This is checked first.
